    Charlotte, NC

    430,000 sq. ft., 5-story office building. Includes a 5-story glass domed atrium, underground truck dock area and an exterior skin of Spanish Limestone and architectural precast.

    Building one is flanked by a parking deck on each side. Each parking deck is fronted by a two story garden office structure. The buildings in this phase are all connected by an underground tunnel system along with three other tunnels for future buildings. The project included the infrastructure for the campus along with a crescent landscape feature that is representative of the North Carolina mountains, Piedmont and the coast.

Preconstruction

State Building Group believes that the efforts put forth in the time leading up to the start of construction are critical to the success of a project. When preconstruction services are implemented, the decisions made during this phase can significantly save clients time and money.

Construction

State Building Group ensures effective and consistent administration during the construction phase of every project. Our proven procedures provide clear lines of communication and direction for all parties are implemented quickly and consistent with the owner's requirements.    

Post Construction

At the completion of the project all members of the State Building Group team will work together to complete all closeout activity, submit as-built and maintenance manuals, and coordinate punch-list items with the subcontractors. All necessary releases and guaranties will be submitted to the owner.

Our Safety Program has the full attention of every employee, beginning with the President. The strong safety program we have for new employees is mandatory regardless of position within the company. At least weekly “Tailgate” Safety meetings and routine, daily site safety inspections are conducted by our project superintendents or our company safety officer.

We maintain an active and ongoing alcohol and substance abuse program, and we require pre-employment and random drug testing of all employees.
